Cardiac computed tomography (CT) is a widely accepted imaging technique for non-invasive evaluation of the heart including assessment of coronary artery disease (CAD) [

3]. Rapid technological advancements in recent years have been accompanied by a large number of new and related terms and abbreviations. However, lack of unification and standardization for terminology related to cardiac CT is potentially confusing with multiple terms in use for some concepts and lack of standardized definitions for others. In 2011, the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) published initial guidelines outlining a standard set of medical terms commonly used in clinical and research activities related to cardiac CT [
