Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel stehen regionale Erkrankungen und Verletzungen der oberen Extremität im Fokus. Neben Pathologien des Schultergürtels und Oberarms (u. a.kinderorthopädischen Erkrankungen wie die Sprengel-Deformität, degenerative Erkrankungen wie die Omarthrose oder Impigmentsyndrome, entzündliche und traumatologische Erkrankungen) stehen Krankheitsbilder von Ellenbogen (z. B. Osteochondrosen, Arthrose, Bursitis, Ellenbogenluxation, distale Humerusfraktur oder Ruptur der distalen Bizepssehne) und Unterarm/Hand (wie etwa Madelung-Deformität, Rhizarthrose, M. Kienböck, Mittelhandfrakturen u. a.) im Vordergrund. Zu jeden anatomischen Abschnitt wird auch gesondert die Thematik der Amputation und Prothetik beleuchtet.
