Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel werden, aufbauend auf einem historischen Abriss zur Ideengeschichte, die wichtigsten Konzepte und Methoden der klinischen Bindungsforschung vorgestellt. Die von John Bowlby begründete Bindungstheorie integriert Konzepte der Verhaltensbiologie, Psychoanalyse, Kognitionsforschung, Entwicklungspsychologie und Kybernetik. Weiterhin wird die Entwicklung von Bindungsbeziehungen von der Geburt bis ins Erwachsenenalter und ihre Bedeutung für eine gesunde psychische Entwicklung beschrieben. Darauf bezugnehmend erfolgt die Darstellung der Bedeutung von Bindung und Bindungsbeziehungen für die Entstehung psychischer Krankheiten und die therapeutische Arbeit.
